Use Meeting Maker to schedule a meeting with people only if you know they use Meeting Maker.

  1. Open Meeting Maker.
  2. In the Proxy menu, select the Proxy that has your name. Your personal schedule will be displayed.
  3. File / Propose Meeting...
Do this for scheduling resources and locations as well as for inviting guests to a meeting.
  4. Type in a title and click on Guests.
  5. Above the left white column select Public Directory.
  6. To reserve a room, double-click Locations. The SBE options are:
    • SBE CETC Lab
    • SBE Conf Room 101
    • SBE Conf Room 119
  7. To reserve equipment, double-click Resources.
  8. Once a room, equipment or person is selected, click on Required to place it on the "guest" list by your name.
  9. Next, select Schedule on the left side.
  10. Choose a time either by dragging the box in the display window or by changing the Date, Time and Duration fields.
  11. Pay attention to Frequency if you want to schedule the resource periodically.
  12. A conflict will be indicated by a slash mark through the icon in the Guest list.
It is OK to have a conflict with yourself, as what happens when you schedule more than one resource for yourself at the same time.
  13. It is not OK to have a conflict with anything else. If you force the issue, Meeting Maker will permit you to create the conflict. Please don't create a conflict with other resources!
  14. When finished, click Send Proposal in the lower right corner.
  15. Select the resource in the Proxy menu to ensure that it was scheduled correctly.
  16. Tip: Reserve projectors and laptops separately. That way it is easier to cancel or change individual resources.
