Introduction
WebCT is a campus utility for providing instructional materials in
a web environment. Faculty request a course, which results in an account to a web-based
computing environment. The environment for a particular course can be modified by the web
designer (the course instructor) in the following ways:
- Add course materials
- Create online quizzes and surveys
- Activate WebCT utilities, such as a bulletin board or chat room
- View and modify student information and grades
Students can be automatically enrolled in the course. They use the web to log on
and view the course materials, WebCT utilities, and their own grades. A password is
required for anyone logging onto the course.
